IKN Will Have Four Pinisi Ships, Ready To Accommodate 200 Guests Invited To The Republic Of Indonesia's Anniversary

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has assigned PT Pelsero or Pelni to send four phinisi ships to sail in Balikpapan Bay.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said this was in order to support the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which will be held in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan on 17 August.

"You don't have to go forward, now you have started to enter (Pelni to IKN). Among them, he has a phinisi ship that we will assign there," he told reporters in Jakarta, written Friday, August 2.

Budi said the phinisi ship will serve tourist trips in IKN starting August 1. He said one Pinisi ship owned by Pelni could accommodate as many as 50 people. So that for four ships the total capacity reaches 200 people.

"Well, so that when IKN is operating, it becomes a continuous thing about what is currently being done. One ship can accommodate 50 people. We have four phinisi ships to IKN," he explained.

Previously, it was reported that the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi said that the shipping of the phinisi ship in Balikpapan Bay was aimed at introducing IKN to the wider community, especially since the potential for tourism in Balikpapan waters was very interesting to enjoy.

Budi said the potential for tourism in Balikpapan waters that are still green and natural is very amazing and very unfortunate if it is not maximized.

In addition, Budi also said that the phinisi ship that will operate in IKN, East Kalimantan, will be more beautiful than the one in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Telggata (NTT).

Budi's statement answered questions from the media crew regarding what kind of phinisi ship in IKN would be like later.

"Oh more beautiful," replied Budi briefly when met at Harjamukti LRT Station, Depok, West Java, Sunday, July 14.

Currently, continued Budi, the government is indeed preparing several phinisi ships for the Balikpapan Bay. These ships will be the attraction of tourism in IKN.

"We'll see that the Balikpapan Bay is very beautiful. I think if there are guests, tourists, going to IKN, it turns colorful. To IKN by electric bus, riding ART. Now in the sea we will provide several benefits, so that people can use these pinions, both for transportation and travel," he said.
