Sales Of Maja Agung Latexindo Grow 106 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Maja Agung Latexindo Tbk (SURI) during the second quarter of 2024 managed to record a very significant financial performance. This can be seen from the company's net sales which increased by more than 106 percent compared to the same period last year to Rp38.43 billion.

The company's financial performance has increased due to improvements in terms of technology to produce latex gloves and SURI management efforts in efficiency.

Director of PT Maja Agung Latexindo Tbk Engel Stefan said that the positive financial performance results in the second quarter of 2024 were still in line with the company's target set in early 2024. At the end of this year, SURI targets net profit growth to increase 100 percent from 2023.

"The point is we just have to pursue the number of pluses. For me, I am sure that compared to 2023, we only get approximately 5 something bio. Maybe, the increase is 90-100 percent," he said in a written statement, Thursday, August 1.

Engel added that currently his party has prepared several strategies to be able to pursue the targets that have been set. Meanwhile, the strategy that will be carried out by SURI until the end of this year is to remain consistent in selling to the United States.

Moreover, the United States is currently experiencing a very significant change. Starting from consumers whose index shows a positive trend, and coupled with the Fed's decision to hold back interest rates.

"But when asked about export demand today, the United States market is still very high," he continued.

In addition to consistently making sales to the United States, in the second semester of 2024, SURI has also opened its new export taps to Brazil and Turkey. The company sees that the two countries have very significant sales potential. Because it is supported by a large population, the need for medical device demand in the two countries is also very high.

"For Brazil and Turkey in their contracts, approximately 30 containers each during the delivery of latex gloves," he concluded.
