Supporting The Sustainability Of The People's Housing Program, BTN Holds A Mass Akad Of KPR To 4,324 People

PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) held a mass KPR contract for 4,324 debtors simultaneously in all regions in Indonesia. This event was carried out to support the sustainability of the people's housing program.

The KPR mass contract event was held symbolically at Pesona Kahuripan 9 Housing, in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, Wednesday, July 31.

President Director of BTN, Nixon LP Napitupulu explained that the Simultaneous Mass Akad KPR is a tangible manifestation of BTN in supporting the sustainability of the people's housing program where this year BTN is targeting an increase in the KPR market share to 84 percent.

Furthermore, Nixon said that of the 4,324 debtors who carried out the KPR mass contract, 30 percent were women. While the majority are millennials.

Today what is planned is approximately 4,324 units. Interestingly, today in all Indo the composition of women who carry out the contract is 30 percent. Meanwhile, the composition of millennials is 72 percent with a young age of 23 years," he said during a speech at the KPR and KUR BTN mass contracts, in Cileungis, Bogor, Wednesday, July 31.

Nixon said Bank BTN was indeed concerned about the fulfillment of houses for millennials and women. Even the realization of subsidized mortgages until June 2024 since the beginning was dominated by millennials of approximately 89 percent who carried out the contract.

"Especially for 2020 to 2023, millennials absorb 425,070 subsidized mortgage units or Rp. 62 trillion. Until June 2024, the figure has increased to 465,621 units or Rp. 68.5 trillion," he said.

Regarding the mass contracts of KPR and KUR BTN, Nixon said the event which was held at Pesona Kahuripan 9 Housing was attended by more than 200 debtors with various backgrounds ranging from the TNI-Polri, civil servants, and informal sector workers.

"Such as food and beverage sellers, market traders, workshops, and other business sectors in all BTN branch offices throughout Indonesia simultaneously," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works for Public Housing, Mohammad Zainal Fatah, said that the simultaneous mass contracts carried out by BTN should be appreciated. He said this was a sign that the government was continuing to move to serve and ensure that housing fulfillment was still being carried out.

"Of course this is a sign that this is a hard effort from the entire BTN ecosystem, developers, and other stakeholders that we continue to want to reduce the current housing gap," said Zainal.

BUMN Sesmen Rabin Hattari said the Ministry of SOEs continues to support the fulfillment of public housing needs, including through BTN in terms of financing.

"Currently what we continue to ensure is that the financing is right on target. In addition, what needs to be ensured is how to make the financing interest rate even lower, through collaboration with several other government agencies and institutions. Of course, the interest rate needs to be seen again at the level of people's purchasing power," said Rabin.
