JAKARTA - The Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Manager, Astra Tol Cipali, has optimized the operation of public electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) in seven rest areas on the toll road to provide comfort to the public using electric vehicles.
"We provide this facility to support the increasing needs of electric vehicle drivers. SPKLU can be easily accessible to motorists from the Jakarta-Cirebon direction and vice versa, ensuring the availability of power whenever needed," said Head of the Astra Toll Operations Division Cipali Sri Mulyo in a statement in Cirebon, West Java, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, July 30.
He explained that SPKLU was available in the rest area towards Jakarta-Cirebon at KM 86, KM 102, KM 130, and KM 166, as well as on the Cirebon-Jakarta section at KM 101, KM 130 and KM 164.
With the increasing number of SPKLUs, he said, electric vehicle users can be calmer and more comfortable when traveling long distances through the Cipali Toll Road.
Sri also mentioned that the SPKLU charging capacity on the Cipali Toll Road is equipped with a fast charging feature with a power capacity ranging from 22 kW to 200 kW.
"Several SPKLUs for the Cipali Toll Road are also equipped with Ultra Fast Charger features that allow electric vehicle charging to be shorter. For example, SPKLU at KM 130 towards Jakarta-Cirebon and KM 101 towards Cirebon-Jakarta which has a capacity of 200 kW," said Sri.
In addition, Sri said that the operation of SPKLU is one of the efforts to support the government in reducing carbon emissions and environmental conservation.
Other efforts to reduce carbon emissions and environmental conservation have been carried out through tree planting programs, the Langka Nusantara (Pranaksa) Fruit Diversity Conservation Program, to the use of renewable energy.
