ID FOOD Gets Funding Assistance From BTN, Badanas Boss: Strengthen Food Security

Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi appreciated the cooperation between ID FOOD and BTN in order to strengthen Government Food Reserves (CPP).

Arief said that funding support from BTN as a banking entity could have a significant impact on the implementation of the food assistance program run by ID FOOD.

"This good step can maintain the fulfillment of food needs and community nutrition, especially families of stunting risk. This will certainly contribute to strengthening food security," said Arief in an official statement, Wednesday, July 24.

In the future, continued Arief, of course, the implementation of this stunting management program will continue to be improved.

Given that this program is strategic, both in terms of meeting the nutritional needs of the community, especially to prepare the next generation, as well as as a form of downstreaming of livestock production.

"So that it can help maintain the stability of chicken eggs and chicken meat at the farmer level," he explained.

Arief said the stunting management program would continue to be encouraged and improve its implementation.

For this reason, of course, it requires wider support and collaboration across sectors, both in terms of funding, regulation, and production.

Meanwhile, ID FOOD Director Sis Apik Wijayanto said that this funding collaboration will focus on chicken meat and chicken eggs for food assistance for the Stunting Risk Family (KRS).

"This is in line with the enthusiasm of the two companies that are actively implementing various stunting prevention programs," he said.

Sis Apik also said that this funding was intended for the distribution of food assistance for stunting management in 2024, with chicken meat and chicken eggs.

"It is hoped that this effort can accelerate the distribution of food aid, thus helping the government program reduce the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia," he said.

Similarly, BTN Deputy President Director Oni Febriarto Rahardjo hopes that this collaboration can realize good food security.

"So that people's welfare can continue to improve," he said.

For your information, currently the distribution of the food assistance program for stunting management carried out by ID FOOD has entered its second year.

Efforts to distribute will continue to be gradually increased in order to meet the distribution target to 1,446,089 Families Prone to Stunting (KRS) in seven provinces in Indonesia.

This food assistance program for stunting management was held in order to help the success of the government's program to reduce stunting prevalence as stated in Presidential Decree 72/2021 concerning the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction.

In this program, each stunting family is prone to receiving one package containing 10 eggs and 1 kg of frozen chicken (frozens) three times.
