Pertamina Patra Niaga Successfully Fulfills The Needs Of Avtur Hajj Flights Throughout Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has succeeded in meeting the aviation needs of 13 airports serving Hajj flights throughout Indonesia, said Director of Central and Commercial Marketing of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Maya Kusmaya.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga together with the government, airport authorities, airlines, and other institutions always coordinate so that we can successfully carry out Hajj flight operations in 2024 by maintaining the resilience of avtur stocks to ensure the sustainability of avtur supplies to airlines," Maya said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, July 23.

As a supporter of the provision of avtur fuel for the 2024 Hajj flights, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga recorded the distribution of 95 thousand kiloliters (KL) avtur from the departure phase and the return phase.

The departure phase takes place on May 12 June 10, 2024 and the repatriation phase on June 22-22 July 2024.

"The average distribution of the Hajj flight period is 12,680 KL per day, an increase of about 11 percent from the normal daily average of 11,428 KL per day," said Maya.

Maya added that the distribution of avtur in 13 AFTs (Aviation Fuel Terminals) at embarkation and debarkation airports during Hajj flights was also supported by additional facilities, ranging from refuellers, storage tanks, and dozens of officers serving the aviation fuel needs of Hajj airlines.

"In addition to increasing operating hours for 24 hours during Hajj flights, we also added refueller operators at Hajj flight hours to support the refueller truck fleet we added at the 13 airports, as well as coordinating with related parties to prepare parking stands and uplift volumes," Maya said.

A total of 13 airports in question, namely Iskandar Muda Airport, Aceh; Kualanamu Airport, Medan; Minangkabau Airport, Padang; Hang Nadim Airport, Batam; Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, Palembang.

Then Soekarno Hatta Airport, Jakarta; Adi Sumarmo Airport, Solo; Juanda Airport, Surabaya; Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarmasin; Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan.

Furthermore, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar; Lombok Airport, Lombok; and Kertajati Airport, Majalengka.
