Minister Of Industry Agus: Exhibition Of GIIAS 2024 Evidence Of Automotive Industry Commitment Shows Innovation

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) exhibition is proof of commitment to innovation, sustainability and advantages of the automotive industry.

"Currently, competition in the automotive sector is no longer a competition between countries, but has shifted to competition in the provision of environmentally friendly vehicle technology which is most in accordance with the community's choice," said Minister of Industry Agus in a written statement received by VOI, Tuesday, July 16.

Agus said, in 2024, GIIAS is ready to show off a variety of cutting-edge vehicles, ranging from electric cars and hybrid to vehicles operating without the need to be controlled by humans or autonomous driving technology.

"Plenary participants, both local and international brands, have brought the most innovative products and ideas to share with visitors," he said.

He considered that GIIAS 2024 was not just an exhibition, but also a platform for collaboration, learning and progress. Moreover, the future of the motor vehicle industry is stretched in front of our eyes.

In addition, Agus said, technological advances not only make vehicles smarter and more efficient but also make significant contributions to environmental sustainability.

"I hope that GIIAS 2024 will run smoothly, successfully and benefit all of you," he said.

Meanwhile, to visitors to the GIIAS exhibition, Agus encouraged them to engage and participate in discussions as well as learn and get inspiration from this prestigious event.

"Let's make this exhibition a celebration of our achievements and catalysts for future innovations. Together, we can encourage the auto industry towards a brighter, environmentally friendly and technologically advanced future," he explained.

According to him, the government is focusing on strategic policies to increase trust and increase public spending to support all industries as a whole.

"The government is committed to turning this challenge into an opportunity for sustainable growth and innovation by actively identifying new markets as where Indonesian automotive products can excel and develop," concluded Agus.
