JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin encouraged the promotion of the logistics industry in Indonesia and Asia Pacific through the 2024 Asia Pacific Federation of International Freight Forwards Associations Regional Pacific (FIATA - RAP).

Vice President in his statement in Jakarta, on Saturday, July 13, said the potential of the logistics industry in the Asia Pacific region was supported by economic growth, as well as increasing trading volume. However, it must continue to pay attention to global economic uncertainty, geopolitical conflicts, and fluctuations in the exchange rate of currency so that the investment climate in this sector is maintained.

To spur the advancement of the logistics industry in Indonesia and regionally, the Vice President conveyed that there are three things that must be done, including the need for adaptation and technological innovation by prioritizing the principle of digital transformation, so as to improve business efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness.

On the other hand, FIATA-RAP 2024 Chairman Yukki N. Hanafi said that the Asia Pacific region is faced with significant challenges such as increasingly stringent regulations, trade wars and changing market dynamics.
