JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the IKN Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force said that the progress of the construction of the Presidential Office in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) had reached around 92 percent.

"(The progress) of the Presidential Office is around 91-92 percent. Hopefully this will be completed soon," said Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force of the Ministry of PUPR Danis Sumadilaga when met at his office, Friday, July 5.

Danis admitted that he would check back with IKN on Monday next week or July 8, 2024. "This is Monday tomorrow I will go there," he said.

Meanwhile, Danis said that the installation of Garuda bird blades at the Presidential Office at IKN was almost complete. According to him, installing the head of the bird is the most difficult.

"Yesterday, the most difficult Garuda (package) wing on his head, it was completed 3-4 days ago. Now it's just a matter of finishing the wings at the ends, the left and the right," he said.

"Hopefully it can be finished next week," he added.

According to Danis, one of the obstacles faced for the completion of the installation of the Garuda blades is the problem of rain.

"The problem is it's just raining. Right, it's at an altitude, there's lightning potential. So, hopefully it can be finished next week. It depends on the weather," he said.

The number of Garuda birdbar modules is 465 modules, with each module there are 10 Garuda blades. Thus, a total of 4,650 Garuda blades will be installed in the Presidential Office.
