Collaborating With PMI Central Jakarta, Tugure Holds Blood Donor

JAKARTA - As an effort to help meet the blood needs, PT Tugu Resurance Indonesia (Tugure) collaborated with PMI Central Jakarta to hold blood donation activities at the Tugure office in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 3.

Tugure Operations Director, Erwin Basri explained, this blood donation activity is a real action of the Company's social responsibility (CSR) activities to encourage and increase blood donor participation as a form of concern for others.

"Hopefully this blood donation activity can help increase the blood supply at PMI which can later be used for those in need," said Erwin, in his statement, quoted on Thursday, July 4.

With the theme "Your Blood Saves More than One Life", blood donation activities were attended by 153 donors.

Erwin added that Tugure's own blood donation activities are routinely carried out at least once a year and are intended for the Tugu Group and business partners of the Company.

"We are very grateful for the enthusiasm of all the invitees of the blood donor participants who have been present, where what I pay attention to continues to increase from year to year", said Erwin.

Meanwhile, the Executive Board of PMI DKI Jakarta, Head of the Isac Kharis Tahtawira Cooperation and Partnership Division, said that Tugure's blood donation activities are very helpful, especially the people of Jakarta who currently have blood disorders such as thalasemia are increasing, where they need at least 1,000 to 1,200 bags per day.

"The blood donation activity carried out by Tugure is expected to trigger other components of society to carry out blood donation," concluded Isac.
