Taspen Appoints China's BUMN Consortium And Japanese Company To Build Oasis Central Sudirman

JAKARTA - PT Taspen (Persero) has officially appointed the main contractor in building Oasis Central Sudirman, an office building with an investment of IDR 10.6 trillion. The contractor who chose it was a consortium of Chinese and Japanese companies.

The construction of Oasis Central Sudirman itself has started since January 2023. As of June 2024, the Oasis Central Sudirman Project has completed the construction of the building foundation and construction of a 100 percent complete Marketing Gallery built by Mitsubishi Estate.

Then, to continue construction, it will be carried out by a consortium of Chinese SOEs, China State Construction Engineering CORporatio and a Japanese company, Taisei Pulauintan Construction International. The two companies formed a consortium of the China State Construction-Taisei Joint Operation (CSCT-JO).

The appointment of this contractor was marked by the signing of a subsidiary of Taspen, Taspen Properti and China State Construction-Taisei Joint Operation (CSCT-JO) which was carried out in Jakarta, Monday, July 1.

The signing ceremony was attended directly by the Director of Planning and Actuaria TASPEN, Feb Sumandar, Director of Operations TASPEN, Ariyandi, President Director of Mitsubishi Estate Indonesia, Yasuaki Oda, and President Director of China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai (CSCODS) Indonesia, Steven Li Jie.

Director of Planning and Actuarial Taspen, Feb Sumandar explained that the appointment of CSCT-JO, international-puted contractor companies, is based on their experience and competence.

On that basis, Feb hopes that the Oasis Central Sudirman project can be completed in accordance with the predetermined timeline or timeline. He also hopes that this method can invite wider investment into Indonesia.

Through this collaboration, TASPEN hopes to provide significant benefits and strengthen the role of SOEs as drivers of the Indonesian economy through increasing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)," he said at the signing ceremony for the cooperation, at the Oasis Central Sudirman Marketing Gallery, Jakarta, Monday, July 1.

Meanwhile, President Director of Mitsubishi Estate Yasuaki Odas as the project's main investor welcomed this consortium. Moreover, he said, China State Construction is the largest construction company in the world.

I am also very happy to collaborate with China State Construction as our main contractor. As you know, China State Construction is one of the largest construction companies in the world, and has a record for the largest construction company in Jakarta," he said.

Similarly, Director of China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai (CSCODS) Indonesia Steven Li Jie revealed that his party is committed to developing this landmark project with extraordinary technology.

"I would like to thank the Center for Demand Development to support us as the main contractor for the development of this landmark. And we are aware of our duty as the main contractor," said Steven.

As the main contractor, CSCT-JO will later carry out structure construction, architectural completion, as well as mechanical, electronic, and plumbing (MEP) work.

The Oasis Central Sudirman project will have two main buildings, namely the first building to be used as an office, service apparatus, hotels, and lifestyle retail facilities, as well as the second building for Strata Title Apartments.

These two buildings will stand on an area of 3.3 hectares whose construction is planned to be completed in 2029. As of June 2024, the Oasis Central Sudirman Project has completed the construction of the building foundation and construction of the 100 percent Marketing Gallery.

This project also benefits from very easy access to various modes of transportation. Starting from MRT, Jabodebek LRT, Airport Trains, Jabodetabek KRL, to Transjakarta Buses.
