JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has opened its voice regarding a number of state-owned companies that are in danger of being dissolved.

Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga said the sick company was not necessarily disbanded.

For your information, there are six SOEs that are threatened with being disbanded. The SOEs are PT Indah Karya (Persero), PT Dok and Surabaya Shipships (Persero), PT Amarta Karya (Persero), PT Barata Indonesia (Persero), PT Varuna Tirta Prakasya (Persero), and PT Semen Kupang.

Arya said the disbandment of state-owned companies could not be ascertained.

The reason, he said, was still being studied by the Asset Management Company (PPA).

"So everything is just a process, so it can't be said, the SOEs that were conveyed yesterday by Danareksa in the DPR are not necessarily going to disband, we don't understand yet. It could also happen, but it can't happen either," he told reporters, in Jakarta, Thursday, June 27.

Moreover, continued Arya, some of the companies that are sick are still undergoing the process of Postponing Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU).

"Indeed, the PPA review is very detailed and strict. But we will see later comprehensively what steps are taken and while waiting for the results of the PKPU court," he said.

Previously, the President Director of PT Danareksa (Persero) Yadi Jaya Ruchandi revealed that PT Perusahaan Pengelola Asset (PPA) is currently handling 14 sick SOEs.

Of the 14 SOEs, six of them are threatened that they cannot be saved or restored.

Yadi said the six SOEs were included in the operation drinking group. The details are PT Indah Karya (Persero); PT Dok & Shipship Surabaya (ship budget); PT Amartha Karya; PT Barata Indonesi; PT Varuna Tirta Prakasya; and PT Semen Kupang.

"The minimum potential for the operation is actually more than likely we will stop. Whether through liquidation or disbandment of SOEs, it seems that the destination is there," he said at a hearing meeting (RDP) for the BUMN Restructuring and Restructuring Committee, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Monday, June 24.

However, said Yadi, there are also those who have the potential to survive, namely PT Entrepreneurs of the Batam Island Industrial Estate (Persero) or Persero Batam, PT Industri Kapal Indonesia (Persero), PT Dok and Shipships of Kodja Bahari (Persero), and PT Boma Bisma Indra (Persero).
