JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) together with PT Pertamina (Persero) and the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a review of the activities for the provision and distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tubes of 3 kilograms at the Subpenyalur and Elpiji Bulk Filling Station (SPBE) in Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region.

During the visit, the Coordinator of the Oil and Gas Fuel Subsidy Working Group of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas Christina Meinati Sinaga, representing the Director of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Development, said that by implementing the transformation of the distribution of certain LPGs on target, all purchase transactions at Subpenyalur were carried out digitally.

"As of June 1, 2024 yesterday, all transactions for purchasing 3 Kg LPG in Subpenyalur have been carried out digitally using an application that has been prepared by PT Pertamina (Persero). Except for Subpenyalurs in the 3T area, or those who have difficulty accessing the internet, recording is still done manually on the logbook," said Christina in Sleman, quoted Monday, June 24.

On this occasion, the Head of the Indonesian Ombudsman of the Economy Sector I Yeka H. Fatika said that the Indonesian Ombudsman is tasked with supervising public services, one of which is the supervision of the provision of 3 Kg tube LPG which is a subsidy item.

"I am happy with what I see in Yogyakarta, hopefully in other areas it can be like this too. If there is a practice of violation in public services, please report it to the Indonesian Ombudsman," Yeka concluded.
