Sri Mulyani Ensures That The Free Nutrition Food Budget Remains Safe For The 2025 State Budget

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the budget for the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program of IDR 71 trillion in the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN) remains safe.

As is known, the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program is a mainstay program for the Presidential and Vice President Elected Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

In addition, Sri Mulyani said that the President and Vice President-elect Prabowo-Gibran agreed to implement the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) in stages.

Sri Mulyani added, although there was an additional Rp71 trillion, the budget had been included in the posture of the 2025 RAPBN which was agreed upon in the discussion of the Macroeconomic Framework and the Principles of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF).

So that the nominal is still in line with the 2025 deficit target, which is 2.29 percent-2.82 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).

"We have entered the APBN post and it has been agreed by the President-elect, Mr. Prabowo, to convey that he has approved the implementation of the free nutritious food program to be implemented in stages. For the first year of his administration, namely in 2025, an allocation of IDR 71 trillion has been agreed in the 2025 RAPBN," he said at a press conference on the latest economic fundamental conditions and the 2025 State Budget plan, Monday, June 24.

According to Sri Mulyani, the deficit target was set taking into account the flagship program of the President-Vice President-Elect Prabowo-Gibran.

In addition, Sri Mulyani emphasized that the realization and details of the use of the budget for free nutritious eating programs will be compiled in detail by the Prabowo-Gibran Government Synchronization Task Force Team.

Furthermore, Sri Mulyani emphasized that the preparation of the 2025 RAPBN, the range deficit and debt ratio will remain guaranteed according to the safe limits of the State Finance Law and be discussed with the DPR for approval.

In addition, Sri Mulyani emphasized that the management of the APBN will be managed carefully because it is an important instrument that must be maintained because it will be a mainstay for both today and the future government.

"So far, our communication has been going well to have a prudent, careful, healthy and sustainable fiscal management commitment," he said.

On the same occasion, a member of the Finance Division of the Prabowo-Gibran Thomas Djiwandono Government Synchronization Task Force Team, said that the total budget allocation of IDR 71 trillion had been agreed upon by the current government and the upcoming government.

In addition, Thomas ensured that the elected president and vice president Prabowo-Gibran would commit to the current government's deficit targets.

Rp71 trillion for us is a very good number, the Minister of Finance (Sri Mulyani) stated that we are committed. We are running Pak Prabowo's flagship program in stages. The key is gradual and of course with quality spending principles," said Thomas.
