Hutama Karya To Jasa Marga Participates In Managing Toll Paying Systems Without Touching

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said the implementation of contactless toll road transactions or multi-lane free flow (MLFF) would be managed by a combination of domestic Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT).

The BUJTs that are willing to be involved in the corporate action are PT Hutama Karya (Persero), PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (META) and PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR).

"Yes, so we have disbursed it. Not only RITS, Karen, if RITS itself, BUJT must be worried. Well, now we come in and thank God they are willing," said Basuki when met by reporters at his office, Friday, June 21.

He explained that the policy was issued to convince BUJT that the management of the MLFF system toll road is safe and monitored by the government.

Thus, PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System (RITS) will not be the only manager of the non-stop toll payment system.

It is known, PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System (RITS) previously stated its readiness to implement a contactless toll transaction system or multi lane free flow (MLFF) this year.

The plan is for the implementation of the toll road payment system without touching to be implemented in stages in October 2024 on the Bali Mandara Toll Road.
