InJourney Boss Calls The Process Of The Angkasa Pura Merger Completed Next Month

JAKARTA - The Aviation and Tourism SOE Holding, PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney is targeting the merger process of PT Angkasa Pura I and PT Angkasa Pura II to become PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia or InJourney Airports to be completed in July 2024.

InJourney President Director Dony Oskaria said the merger process of the two companies had been going on since November last year and was expected to be completed next month.

Furthermore, Dony said, Angkasa Pura Indonesia will be the number four largest airport operator in the world with a total number of passengers reaching 170 million per year.

"Injuourney Airports, actually from last year we formed Indonesian Airport and this is PSN, yes. We hope that the process will be completed in July," he said when met at Danareksa Tower, Jakarta, Friday, June 21.

Furthermore, Dony explained, the merger of PT Angkasa Pura I and II includes aligning standard operating procedures (SOP), IT systems, finance, finance to airport operations.

"We will form the Indonesian Airports first, we will equalize the SOP first, we will equalize the IT first, the process operations. So that the unification process runs very smoothly. Because we have been from November to actually unify as an organization, in operation, financially and so on. So this is just the gong actually, "said Dony.

Dony said, if you look at the airport industry in the world, the source of income is supported by non-aero, such as retail and property.

Meanwhile in Indonesia, he continued, non-aero income is not balanced with aero.

"We are still not in balance. So we are still dominant in aero. On average, our income in non-aero is currently 3 US dollars per tax. If we compare it with Changi, with Incheon, on average they are 13 US dollars per tax," he said.

Dony also hopes that Angkasa Pura Indonesia can take advantage of this opportunity to develop.

For example, he said, with a target of 170 jut passengers per year and an increase in non-aero income of 5 US dollars per tax.

"This means that our room for growth is very large. Imagine if with 170 million passengers, if we could go up 2 dollars, the average is 340 million US dollars, only by raising 2 dollars," he said.
