Vehicle Traffic On The Trans Sumatra Toll Road Increases 23 Percent During The 2024 Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) noted that vehicle traffic on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) increased by 23 percent during holidays and holidays with Eid al-Adha 2024 compared to normal days. In total, there were 421,000 vehicles recorded across JTTS during that period.

"White with Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri on June 14-19 2024 made the Trans Sumatra Toll Road again the choice of road users to return to their hometowns," said Hutama Karya's management quoted from its official website, Friday, June 21.

The total 421,000 vehicles are the accumulation of a number of toll roads. Vehicles crossing the Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung (Terpeka) Toll Road were recorded at 81,444 units. The figure increased 29 percent from normal days.

Then, 67,153 units of vehicles crossing the Palembang-Prabumulih (Palindra & Inprabu) toll road, an increase of 23 percent compared to normal days.

Next, the number of vehicles crossing the Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung (Bengtaba) Toll Road was recorded at 11,171 units. The volume of these vehicles increased by 13.67 percent compared to normal days.

Then, vehicles crossing the Pekanbaru-Koto Kampar Toll Road penetrated 45,106 units, an increase of 44 percent compared to normal days.

Furthermore, vehicles crossing the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road were 76,996 units, an increase of 10 percent compared to normal days. For the Indrapura-Kisaran Toll Road, the number of passing vehicles was recorded at 59,826 units, an increase of up to 35,38 percent compared to normal days.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles crossing the Binjai-Tanjung Pura Toll Road penetrated 56,704 units, an increase of 8 percent from normal days. Meanwhile, vehicles crossing the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road were recorded at 22,487 units, an increase of 45 percent from normal days. This toll road shows the most significant traffic growth during the long holiday period of Eid al-Adha 2024.
