Print Net Profit Of IDR 1.8 Trillion, Hutama Karya Becomes The Best Infrastructure BUMN In Indonesia And 183 Asia

JAKARTA - For the first time, Fortune Magazine has launched its ranking for 500 of Southeast Asia's largest and best companies in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 2024.

Published officially on Tuesday 18 June Singapore Time, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) managed to enter the 183rd rank in this prestigious ranking.

Specifically, in the category of BUMN Infrastructure in Indonesia, Hutama Karya occupies the top position compared to other Infrastructure SOEs such as PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) in position 203, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. in position 213, PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. in rank 225, and PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk. in rank 237.

Executive Vice President Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim said that this achievement could be achieved thanks to the company's consistency in restoring the company's financial performance and transformation over the last few years.

This recognition is proof of global recognition of the comprehensive transformation carried out by the company, starting from the financial aspect, to business development and investment. A number of new contracts and large corporate actions such as investment cooperation of 2 (two) Trans Sumatra Toll Road sections in June 2023 contributed significant income for the company," said Adjib in a written statement, Friday, June 21.

"In 2023, the company managed to record revenues of 1.768 billion US dollars or Rp. 26.93 trillion with a net profit of 120.1 million US dollars Rp. 1.872 trillion or a significant growth of 500.5 percent compared to the previous year (year on year / yo.y). Hutama Karya also recorded company consolidated assets worth 11.026 billion US dollars or Rp169.74 trillion, with total labor absorption reaching 1,714 people," added Adjib.

As one of the most prestigious recognitions in the international realm, Fortune 500 is ranked 500 of the world's best companies as the annual event that Fortune magazine has held since 1955.

The determination of Fortune 500 in Southeast Asia is carried out based on the results of the financial statements of each company in fiscal year 2023 with a minimum revenue of 460.8 million US dollars, total profit after tax calculation, and total assets that have been converted into US dollars.

The Fortune Southeast Asia 500 reflections a dynamic and fast-change region one whose core economies are growing notably faster than those of Europe or the US. This is partially due to Southeast Asia taking on far greater signature in the global economy, not least because a host of Global 500 multinationals has shifted more of their supply chains to Southeast Asian nations, said Executive Editor Asia, Clay Chandler.

Based on the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list, Hutama Karya is included in BUMN with the highest profit growth in 2023 (500.5 percent), and total assets of 11.026 billion US dollars are the highest when compared to other Infrastructure Cluster SOEs.
