"In the period from June 14 to 18, 2024, the volume of customers in Daop 8 Surabaya increased by 25,410 people or 35 percent compared to the same period the previous week, namely 73,612," said Luqman, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, June 18.

Meanwhile, passengers who disembarked in the Daop 8 area of Surabaya, he said, were recorded as as many as 96,549 customers, an increase of 20,238 or 27 percent compared to the same period the previous week. Luqman explained, there were also three stations with the highest number of departures and arrivals in their working area during that period, namely Surabaya Gubeng Station with an increase of 32,172 passengers and a decrease of 29,835 customers. "Followed by Surabaya Pasarturi Station, which rose by 27,589 customers and decreased by 26,844 people, then Malang Station with the number of passengers increased by 17,546 and decreased by 14,367 customers," he said.
