This Is Minister Basuki's Promise After Jokowi Appointed The Acting Head Of The IKN Authority

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono opened his voice after being appointed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as Acting Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) since Monday, June 3, 2024.

Basuki ensured that he would carry out all programs that were responsible for OIKN. Including the problem of land acquisition that still exists.

"I think, as Plt, I will definitely carry out the program. So, just speed up the implementation of the program that has been made by the IKN Authority so far. So, it will not change," he said when met at the DPR RI Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, June 6.

Basuki admitted that there was no significant burden when he was appointed as leader in the authority itself.

The reason is, he works according to President Jokowi's vision.

"I, right, don't have a vision. My vision is to carry out the president's vision as an assistant to the president. So, as long as I do, I certainly don't have my own agenda," he said.

When asked further about the selection of the definitive Head of OIKN, Basuki could not provide further information.

According to him, the most important thing right now is to accelerate the implementation of programs that have been planned by previous authorities.

"Don't ask me. Because I think I'm like the president said, he can Pak Prabowo. The important thing (me) is to speed up the programs first," he concluded.

Previously, Bambang Susantono decided to resign from his position as Head of OIKN.

Meanwhile, Bambang was inaugurated as Head of OIKN on March 22, 2022.

Bambang led IKN accompanied by his deputy Dhony Rahajoe.

The resignation letter of both of them has been received by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"Mr. President (Jokowi) also received a letter of resignation letter from Mr. Bambang Susantono as Head of the IKN Authority. Today a Presidential Decree (Keppres) has been issued regarding the honorable dismissal of Mr. Bambang Susantono as Head of the IKN Authority and also Mr. Dhony Rahajoe as Deputy Head of the IKN Authority," said Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, June 3.

President Jokowi appointed the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) as the Acting Head of the IKN Authority and Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antoni to be the Acting Deputy Head of the IKN Authority.
