JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has decided to stop operations within an undetermined period of time. The company also advises passengers to apply for refunds.

As is known, MRT Jakarta decided to stop its operations after the railway line for the benefit of a heavy equipment project by the Indonesian Attorney General's Office this afternoon.

Through the Instagram account @mrtjkt, the company explained that users who have already done tap-in and cannot ride the Jakarta MRT can contact the officers.

"For passengers who have taped in, they can reset their electronic money cards and MTT to the officers," wrote MRT Jakarta Management, quoted Thursday, May 30.

In addition, MRT Jakarta also provides refunds for users who have purchased tickets through the MRTJ application.

"Passengers can apply for refunds for those who buy tickets via application," the management wrote.

As previously reported, heavy equipment at the construction activity of the Attorney General's Office building on Jalan Panglima Polim, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta fell. The material for the construction hit the MRT Jakarta railroad line.
