Wow! Head Of BPH MIgas Says There Is A Pertashop Mothership That Has Not Completed Licensing

JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) revealed that until now there are still many Pertashops that carry out operational activities without completing the terms and conditions for operating permits. In fact, the government is preparing regulations for Pertashop to participate as a distributor of Pertalite type subsidized fuel.

"Of course licensing must be completed because many Pertashops do not have permits," said Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati, quoted on Tuesday, May 28.

Erika said that her party collaborated with Gadjah Mada gun University to conduct a study on the feasibility of Pertashop as a Pertalite distributor and found that there were only 700 Pertashops that had permits of a total of 6,400 units operating.

"At that time there was some kind of convenience. So first wake up, the permits are later. The one-stop licensing is not from us, but from Pertamina and the Ministry of Home Affairs," explained Erika.

The requirements for Pertashop to be able to distribute Pertalite include the owner having to complete Pertashop with a digitalization system and CCTV.

In addition, entrepreneurs must also spend more by disbursing funds of Rp. 75 million to Rp. 100 million in order to change the status of Pertashop to a compact gas station.

Furthermore, Erika said that her party had backed up 100,000 kiloliters (KL) of Pertalite to be distributed by Pertashop out of the total 2024 quota set at 31.7 million KL.

Pertashop is known to have received the government's blessing to distribute the Pertalite Special Assignment Fuel Type (JBKP). Erika Retnowati said that her party had assigned an assignment to 29 Pertashop to distribute Pertalite.

"Until now, we have given the assignment to the JBKP Pertalite to 29 Pertashop for the trial and we have also given the quota," explained Erika.

However, Erika said that of the 29 Pertashops, only 10 had met the requirements to distribute Pertalite and 1 pertashop would distribute it.
