Jasa Raharja Has Provided Compensation To 7 Heirs Of Sumedang Accident Victims

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Raharja has handed over compensation to seven heirs of the Sri Padma Kencana tourism bus accident in Tanjakan Cae, Sukajadi Village, Wado District, Sumedang Regency, West Java. In the accident, 29 people were declared dead.

Meanwhile, for the total number of injured victims, 37 victims have been given a letter of guarantee for the cost of care at the Sumedang District General Hospital. So that the total number of victims was 66 passengers.

Operational Director of PT Jasa Raharja Member of Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) Amos Sampetoding said that since the incident, Jasa Raharja officers immediately worked to go to the crime scene (TKP) and collect data on victims.

"So that up to this afternoon, compensation for the 7 dead victims has been handed over to the heirs through an account transfer mechanism less than 24 hours after the incident," he said, in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, March 12.

Furthermore, Amos said, Jasa Raharja expressed his condolences and was also concerned about the accident that occurred in Sumedang.

"Jasa Raharja is committed to completing the delivery of compensation at the first opportunity to the heirs of the victims in accordance with the applicable regulations," he said.

Each victim has the right to receive compensation as a form of Government Basic Protection based on the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 15 of 2017. As for the death victim, each heir is entitled to receive compensation of IDR 50 million.

Meanwhile, for injured victims, said Amos, they are entitled to a maximum reimbursement of treatment costs of IDR 20 million.

Amos said, as a Member of Indonesia Financial Group (IFG), PT Jasa Raharja is always committed to providing the best, easy, fast and precise service as a form of the State being present for victims of accidents of public transportation equipment and road traffic.

For your information, the Sri Padma Kencana Bus, which was carrying dozens of passengers from the Pilgrimage group from Subang, had a traffic accident. The bus went into a ravine. This incident occurred on Wednesday, March 10 at around 18.50 WIB in Wado, Sumedang Regency, West Java.
