JAKARTA In order to support government programs in the use of environmentally friendly fuels, PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) signed a ship rental service job and the management of Ship to Ship (STS) in distributing the distribution of vegetable fuel or fatty acid methylester (FAME).

This collaboration was carried out with 22 companies from the Indonesian Biofuel Manufacturers Association (APROBI). This agreement was symbolically signed by PTK Marketing Director Andy Arvianto with APROBI representative Ernest Gunawan as APROBI Secretary General as well as the Board of Directors of PT Musim Mas and Rowan Arifin as President Director of PT Energi Unggul Persada.

The signing activity was witnessed by the President Director of PTK, I Ketut Laba, Head of the Distribution Division of the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) Fajar Wahyudi, representatives of the Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Junaedi, and Deputy Chairperson of the APROBI Supply Chain, Suwandi Winardi.

President Director of PTK I Ketut Laba, stated that this collaboration is part of PTK's commitment to support the Government's initiative in the energy transition.

"We thank you for the trust of APROBI. Of course, PTK is very committed to maintaining service excellence by prioritizing the aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE)," he explained in his statement, Friday, May 24.

Ketut conveyed that hopefully in the years ahead PTK will continue to gain APROBI's trust in supporting the Government's energy mix program, both B35 and increasing FAME components in the future.

This is PTK's step in supporting the implementation of the B35 program, which aims to increase the use of vegetable fuels and reduce the need for fossil fuels, especially in the East Kalimantan region.

For information, B35 itself is a mixture of diesel fuel with 35 percent of biodiesel produced from palm oil.

Meanwhile, Ernest expressed his optimism for cooperation with PTK showing positive synergy between biofuel producers and the logistics sector. This will strengthen the national biodiesel supply chain and ensure efficient distribution.

"We believe that this step will support the government's target of achieving a greener energy mix," said Ernest.

This collaboration also includes increasing infrastructure capacity and biodiesel storage facilities in main ports.

In addition, this collaboration is important to ensure that B35 biodiesel can be distributed quickly and on time, supporting the smooth operation of sea transportation which is the backbone of the distribution of goods in Indonesia.

BPDPKS representative Fajar Wahyudi also added that this collaboration is a tangible form of industrial support for the B35 program.

"With the support from various parties, it is hoped that the distribution of biodiesel will be more optimal and on target, supporting sustainable development and national energy security," he said.
