JAKARTA - PT Sarinah (Persero) is expanding the reach of collaboration by cooperating with the Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA) to make micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) advance to class.

President Director of PT Sarinah Fetty Kwartati said, so far the MSME bazaar organized by Sarinah has only collaborated with state-owned enterprises (BUMN). In order to make a bigger jump, cooperation with the private sector is needed.

"We want to expand collaboration, not only SOEs but also with the private sector," said Fetty at the opening of the MSME Bazaar at the Sarinah Building, Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, May 16.

This collaboration began in February 2024 through the Sarinah Pandu program, in which 200 YDBA fostered MSMEs from Jabodetabek, Solo, Klaten, Yogyakarta, Kalimantan to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) participated in hybrid training.

From this training, it was curated to 50 MSMEs who were finally selected to take part in the bazaar at the Sarinah Building, Jakarta which took place on May 16-19 2024. Then, the MSMEs will be curated again into 5 selected participants who will be present at the Sarinah premium outlet during June-August 2024.

The MSME bazaar presents various handicrafts, fashion products, and handicrafts.

Fetty said the program is expected to help and accelerate MSMEs in building business networks and expanding the market to an international level.

"This series provides market access to MSMEs that have been drained. Of course they provide certain targets related to sales, display and others, later after three months they will be reviewed again, what should be alternated with other MSMEs," said Fetty.

Sementara itu, Ketua Pengurus YDBA Rahmat Samulo mengatakan, YDBA berkomitmen untuk mengembangkan UMKM binaan menjadi lebih mandiri dan naik kelas.

Rahmat said Sarinah has a very strong image in promoting classy local products.

"We are very serious about fostering MSMEs, so we don't just get names so that we can finally be independent. Hopefully, these MSMEs can move up in class to be independent," said Rahmat.
