JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir targets Bali International Hospital (BIH) which is being built by PT Pertamina Bina Medika, Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) to attract patients from abroad.

Hal tersebut disampaikan usai melakukan kunjungan ke Bali International Hospital (BIH).

The visit is to ensure the progress of BIH development, which is expected to be one of the world-class health destinations.

Erick also said that the development of BIH is one of the commitments in realizing President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) vision to make Indonesia a world health tourism destination.

"For this reason, BIH is expected not only to become a leading hospital in Indonesia, but also to be able to attract patients from abroad for treatment in Indonesia," said Erick Thohir, in an official statement, Tuesday, May 14.

During his visit, Minister Erick carefully reviewed the progress of the construction of the emergency room, radiotherapy areas such as Linac and Brakhitherapy, as well as radiology areas equipped with modern medical equipment such as DR X-ray, CT scan, MRI 3 Tesla and 1.5 Tesla.

"This is an important step in developing health infrastructure in Indonesia, for that we must be committed to providing the best health services and contributing to strengthening Indonesia's image as a health tourism destination at the global level," said Erick.

Similarly, IHC President Director Mira said that BIH was built in order to improve the quality of health services in Indonesia, the IHC as the BUMN Hospital Holding will continue to strive to make BIH a hospital with international standard service standards.
