Deputy Minister Tiko Regarding Workers With A Salary Of Rp. 15 Million Get Subsidized Mortgages: We Are Making A Scheme

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo admitted that his party is currently reviewing the subsidized Home Ownership Credit (KPR) scheme for workers with salaries ranging from Rp. 8 million to Rp. 15 million per month.

Previously, PT Bank Tanungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) proposed a subsidy scheme for workers with income above Rp. 8 million.

Just so you know, the current subsidized mortgage is only given to low-income people (MBR).

This refers to the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number 22/KPTS/M/2023, the income limit for MBR who is still single or not married is IDR 7 million per month. Then, for MBR who are married, the income limit is IDR 8 million per month.

The regulation also stipulates that the income limit for MBRs who are not married and live in Papua, West Papua, Central Papua, South Papua, Mountains Papua, and Southwest Papua is IDR 7.5 million per month. Then, for MBRs who are married and live in Papua, West Papua, Central Papua, South Papua, Mountains Papua, and Southwest Papua are IDR 10 million per month.

"We are still designing. Now it's the MBR. We are looking at it, indeed, among the MBR and above there are also those who need needs," he told reporters, in Jakarta, Monday, May 13.

The man who is familiarly called Tiko said, apart from subsidized mortgages for workers of Rp. 8 million to Rp. 15 million, there is also an option to reduce mortgage interest.

He said workers with the amount of salary can only access mortgages commercially.

Maybe later there will be flower relief too. Right now there is a commercial KPR scheme. If below there is indeed an MBR model with FLPP, maybe we will add a new scheme in the future. Later we propose a interest reduction scheme in this medium-sized decile," he said.
