BI Consumer Confidence Index As Of April Rose To 127.7

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that a consumer survey in April 2024 indicated that consumer optimism for economic conditions was increasing.

This is reflected in the April 2024 Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) of 127.7 or higher than the previous month of 123.8.

The increasing consumer confidence in April 2024 was driven by consumer confidence in April 2024 driven by the strengthening of the current Economic Condition Index (IKE) and the Consumer Expectation Index (IEK).

In addition, the increase in consumer confidence was also driven by the strengthening of IKE, which was recorded at 119.4, an increase from the previous month which was 113.8.

Furthermore, it was also driven by the consumer expectation index (IEK) which reached 136, an increase from the previous month of 133.8.

IKE is recorded to increase in all components of its formation, especially in the Current Income Index.

IEK also strengthens in all components of its formation, especially in the Business Activity Expectation Index.

Spatially, IKK has increased in most cities that have been surveyed, the largest in the city of Surabaya is 13.5 points, followed by Bandar Lampung 12.8 points and Pontianak 11.1 points.
