RI-China Cooperation In The Field Of Manpower, Wamenaker Afriansyah Noor: Exchange Information And Experience

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower together with the Provincial Government of Hunan agreed to deepen cooperation between Indonesia and China, especially in the employment sector.

The agreement was conveyed by the Deputy Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor when receiving a visit from Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council of the Hunan People's Provincial Congress, Zhang Jianfei in Jakarta.

Deputy Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor said in a meeting with the Chinese side, one of the things discussed was regarding the development of training programs and improving the quality of public services for employment practitioners relevant to industrial needs in both countries.

"This can include the best exchange of experience and practices in the exchange of information and regulations, methods, and development of IT-based public services," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, May 8.

Afriansyah said the meeting also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of innovation and technology, including technology transfer, joint research (jointresearch) between ministries and the Hunan Provincial Government, for example in terms of improving the quality of public services.

Other discussions are related to efforts to encourage investment and entrepreneurship in sectors that can create jobs by providing support to local and foreign companies that want to invest or do business in both countries," he explained.

Afriansyah said that currently the demographic structure of Indonesia, which is dominated by the young population, provides a competitive advantage in terms of productive and innovative human resources (HR).

"Indonesia has the potential to provide skilled workers in various sectors, including information technology, manufacturing, and services that can attract investment in industrial and service development," he said.

The Indonesian government also sets work standards, minimum wages, and social security to protect labor rights, thus creating a stable and sustainable business environment.
