KBUMN Sets Waskita's Target To Become A Hutama Karya Subsidiary In September 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) is targeting the merger process of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk to enter PT Hutama Karya (Persero) to be completed in September 2024.

The Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, said that after the merger of the two BUMN Karya was ratified, Waskita Karya would become a subsidiary of Hutama Karya.

Currently, continued Arya, the consolidation process is continuing. He also looks at all the processes that can go according to plan.

"Hopefully, by September 2024, everything can go. Hopefully everything will be done as a legal son, hopefully all the way," he said while at HK Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 7.

Arya also said that Hutama Karya's current financial condition had shown significant improvement. He also believes that the merger of Waskita Karya into Hutama Karya's business unit is the right step.

Furthermore, Arya said that his party is currently restructuring Waskita Karya with restructuring. With this step, it is hoped that Waskita Karya's finances will improve this year.

"The financial strength of Hutama Karya is getting longer, the better. So don't hesitate Waskita joins, this means that her steps are correct, to become a holding with Hutama Karya," he explained.
