As a result, each village gets Rp933.9 million in village funds with an absorption of 99.8 percent.

Meanwhile, in 2024, the Ministry of Finance plans to spend IDR 71 trillion in village funds for 75,259 villages throughout Indonesia.

As for the plan, each village will get IDR 943.34 million.

According to Jaka, village funds are the main support for the Village Original Income (PA).

In addition, village funds this year are used to support the handling of extreme poverty through Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) and stunting handling.

"25 percent of village funds can be used for BLT, 20 percent of food security, the government can arrange it to support national priority programs," he said.

Jaka said that the government can also regulate the function of village funds for village government operations and can determine the highest amount of village funds for operations by 3 percent.

"We also have a BUMDes assistance program for the village economy, hopefully, all villages will not only depend on village funds," he said.
