Pelindo Papua Expands Jayapura Port Area To Realize The Use Of Garbarata

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Regional 4 Jayapura Branch, Papua is expanding the local port area to realize the use of Garbarata, making it easier for passengers to climb and descend in this area.

General Manager of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 Jayapura Branch I Nengah Suryana Jendra, in Jayapura, Monday, April 29, said that currently the biggest obstacle faced by his party is the limited port land conditions. "For this reason, we are expanding the Jayapura Port area, so that the use of Garbarata can be implemented," he said, as reported by Antara. The Jayapura Pelindo Office, which is currently inside the Jayapura Port area, will also be demolished to increase the extension of the dock for passengers, thus the use of the garbarata can be carried out. "We know together that every time the ship enters an extraordinary traffic jam, for that various efforts will be made to improve services to passengers at the Jayapura Port," he said again.

He added, for line one, especially operational activities, there must be offices, there are only passenger activities and loading and unloading only.

"That way the port of activities of the passengers is wider, so that people are more comfortable, the arrangement of ports and the use of Garbarata is maximized," he said.
