Indonesia Asks Saudi Arabia To Give PMI Job Opportunities

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government will continue to strengthen cooperation in the labor sector with the Government of Saudi Arabia.

One of them is related to the job opportunity of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI).

Afriansyah hopes that Indonesia can become Saudi Arabia's strategic partner through the synergy of Saudi vision efforts 2023 and the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.

"We hope that the Government of Saudi Arabia can provide wider job opportunities for Indonesian Migrant Workers in Saudi Arabia both in the formal and informal sectors," Afriansyah said in a press release from the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Manpower, Friday, April 26.

Furthermore, Afriansyah believes, the harmonious bilateral relationship between the Government of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia does not dampen the increasing job opportunities for Indonesian Migrant Workers in Saudi Arabia.

"Bilateral relations in the economic sector of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia that have been well established, must still be maintained and continued," he said.

Meanwhile, Ambassador HE Faisal hopes that Indonesian Migrant Workers will continue to take part or be involved in development development in Saudi Arabia.
