Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Set HBA April, High Coal Kalori Rose To 121.13 US Dollars Per Ton

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has officially set the Reference Coal Price (HBA) for April 2024 as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 88.K/MB.01/MEM.B/2024 concerning Reference Metal Mineral Prices and Reference coal Prices for April 2024, which was set on April 22, 2024.

In this decision, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif determined HBA in equivalence of the value of 6,322 kcal/kg GAR, a total of 12.26 percent Moisture, a total of 0.66 percent sulphur, and Ash 7.94 at 121.13 US dollars per ton.

This amount has increased from the previous month which was set at 109.77 dollars.

Furthermore, HBA is set for coal commodity I, in equal value of 5.300 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 21.32 percent Total Sulphur 0.75 percent, and Ash 6.04 percent.

"HBA I is set at the level of USD 86.93 per ton," said Head of the Communications, Public Information Service, and Cooperation (KLIK) Bureau of Energy and Mineral Resources Agus Cahyono Adi, Tuesday, April 23.

Then the Reference Price for coal commodity II in equal value of 4.100 kcal/kg GAR, Total Moisture 35.73 percent, Total Sulphur 0.23 percent and Ash 3.90 percent is set at 57.17 US dollars per ton.

Finally, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources also set a reference price for coal III, in equality with a value of 3,400 kcal/kg GAR, a total of 44.30 percent Moisture, a total of 0.24 percent of Sulphur and 3.88 percent of Ash, at 36.32 US dollars per ton.

"This HBA for April is used as the basis for calculating the Coal Patokan Price (HPB)," Agus concluded.
