"The average consumption of gasoline fuel (Pertalite, Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo) on D-1 and D-2 Eid Al-Fitr 2024 has increased by 75 percent compared to normal consumption in January 2024 from 1,840 Kilo Liter (KL) per day to 3,222 KL per day in Aceh," said Area Manager Comm, Rel & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Susanto August Satria in a statement to the media, Saturday, April 20.

He explained, when compared to the average consumption of gasoline products on D-1 and D-2 Eid Al-Fitr 2024, the 6 percent increase from D-1 and D-2 Eid Al-Fitr 2023, which is 3,036 KL per day to 3,222 KL per day.

Meanwhile, consumption of gasoil products (Biosolar, Dex Series) decreased by approximately 2.9 percent to 847 KL per day compared to last year's 873 KL per day.

Specifically for Pertalite, when compared to the average fuel consumption in January 2024, consumption increased by 66 percent from 1,489 KL per day to 2,478 KL per day. Meanwhile, gasoil consumption decreased by 25 percent from the daily average or 1,131 KL per day to 857 KL per day.

The decrease in gasoil consumption was partly due to restrictions on industrial transportation or industrial activity holidays in Aceh.

"During this task force (Rafi 2024 Task Force), gasoline fuel consumption reached its highest point on D-1 Eid al-Fitr or Tuesday 9 April compared to normal daily consumption. We continue to monitor fuel consumption and we ensure that fuel stock and distribution in Aceh are safe during Lebaran's return flow," said Satria.
