Menpan RB Azwar Anas: There Are 11,916 ASN Will Move To IKN Early Stage

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN RB) said that at least 11,916 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) employees would take action to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, for the initial stage.

Menpan RB Abdullah Azwar Anas mengatakan, jumlah ini akan menyesuaikan dengan ketersediaan hunian dan infrastruktur di IKN.

Overall, the government is preparing 47 ASN-Hankam residential towers, of which 12 are targeted to be ready for habitation in July 2024.

"Ideally, the number of ASN employees needed to be in IKN and the first priority is around 11,916 employees. However, the transfer is still adjusted to the availability of IKN housing and infrastructure," Anas said at a press conference on the 'Skema for the Transfer of ASN to the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN)' at the Kominfo office, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 17.

As for the second priority, there are around 6,000 ASN who will move. Then the third priority, as many as 14,000 ASN.

Therefore, his party is still in the process of preparing the transfer option while coordinating with the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono and the IKN Authority in terms of readiness.

"So, we have prepared several options and continue to get updates from the Minister of Public Works who have prepared infrastructure and we also continue to coordinate with OIKN as the responsible authority at IKN," he said.

In addition to ASN which will move to IKN in stages, the PAN-RB Ministry is also preparing a special formation for the selection of 2024 State Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) specifically for placement in IKN.

"The charging of ASN in IKN is also based on the formation of special CPNS at IKN in 2024. So, I report to the President that this year we report that fresh graduate recruitment is needed because so far there have been more PPPKs," he said.

In addition, Anas emphasized that currently there are no more employees who refuse to move to IKN.

The reason is, many parties outside the list ask to be able to participate in moving to IKN.

"There are a lot of enthusiasts, it turns out that many also want to move to IKN. In fact, informally and formally to me, many of them are not included in the scenario for moving IKN to be transferred to IKN. There are doctors, ASN professionals. So, I think something encouraging," he added.
