PT Pelni Records Sales Of Nearly 400 Thousand Tickets Up To D-1 Eid Al-Fitr 2024

PT Pelasero Nasional Indonesia (Persero) or Pelni noted that 399,806 ship tickets had been sold as of Tuesday or D-1 Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah.

This number consists of 293,233 tickets for homecoming flow (26 March-11 April 2024) and 106,573 tickets for backflow (12-26 April 2024).

The head of the Pelni Company Secretariat, Evan Eryanto, in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, detailed that 364,556 tickets had been sold to passenger ships and 35,250 tickets on pioneer ships.

"The period of homecoming transportation on the Pelni ship will take place from March 26 to April 26, 2024," he said.

Pelni noted that during the period of the Eid 2024 homecoming, five of the most crowded sections, namely the Batam-Belawan section as many as 15,663 passengers, Belawan-Batam (13,288 passengers), Kumai-Semarang (11,718 passengers), Balikpapan-Surabaya (10,588 passengers), and Makassar-Surabaya (9,154 passengers).

Next, the five most populous departure ports for the 2024 homecoming period, namely Makassar (33,119 passengers), Balikpapan (28,044 passengers), Ambon (24,343 passengers), Batam (22,735 passengers), and Tanjung Priok (18,992 passengers).

Pelni has also made efforts to keep all of its ships on schedule at every port that is visited.

These efforts were made to ensure that all passengers could arrive and celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri in their respective hometowns with their families.

Evan also appealed to prospective passengers to buy boat tickets through several official channels such as the Pelni Mobile application, the official pelni.co.id website, the Pelni 162 call center, branch office counters and partners who have collaborated with Pelni.

"Pelni has also added ticket saleschannels, namely through Mandiri Livin' Sukha and BCA Mobile," said Evan.
