Perlinsos Budget Reaches IDR 496.8 Trillion, Sri Mulyani Disburses Its Allocation

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the total social protection budget (Perlinsos) of Rp496.8 trillion was not only in the Ministry of Social Affairs but also in other ministries such as the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Religion, and the Ministry of Manpower.

"The allocation of the social welfare budget is IDR 496.8 trillion. It is implemented by various ministry institutions and comes from the budget agency or the KL budget section or the budget part of the state's general treasurer and transfers," he said at the trial of the General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) dispute or the 2024 presidential election, Friday, April 5, 2024.

Sri Mulyani detailed the Perlinsos budget allocation of Rp496.8 trillion, consisting of Rp75.6 trillion in the Ministry of Social Affairs which was channeled through the Social Assistance program, namely the Family Hope Program, basic food cards, and other social assistance programs.

Furthermore, worth IDR 80.5 trillion for other Perlinsos managed by several Ministries / Agencies, namely the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Religion (via PIP, KIP, and affirmation scholarships) programs, the Ministry of Health (via the Healthy Indonesia Card program), the Ministry of Manpower (for Job Loss Guarantee contributions), and BNPB (for ready-to-use funds). disaster).

Then, amounting to Rp340.7 trillion, among others, for Energy Subsidies (fuel, LPG and electricity subsidies), Non Energy (fertilizer subsidies, PSOs, KUR interest, housing credit interest), and anticipation of disaster management.

Sri Mulyani said that the social welfare expenditure distributed through the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Religion increased by Rp7.47 trillion compared to 2023 due to an increase in the cost unit for secondary education and additional targets.

Meanwhile, spending on social assistance other than PKH and basic food cards distributed through the Ministry of Social Affairs increased by Rp1.23 trillion due to an increase in allocations for elderly food assistance, assistance for people with disabilities and orphanage assistance.

"Subsidized purchases distributed through BUN or NonK/L have increased with the increase in fertilizer subsidies and KUR interest subsidies," he explained.

Thus, Sri Mulyani said that it can be shown that the Perlinsos budget in the 2024 State Budget is in the context of controlling inflation (price stability) and eliminating extreme poverty, according to national priority targets.

"There is no significant change in the social assistance budget managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs," he said.

Sri Mulyani conveyed that the changes to Perlinsos managed by other Ministries / Agencies (Kemendikbud, Ministry of Manpower) were due to the increase in units of costs and the addition of KIPK (Indonesian Smart Card) recipients and the payment of the Job Loss Guarantee Program and Non-Wage Recipient Worker Contribution Assistance (PBPU).
