D-7 Lebaran 2024, Jasa Marga Records 149,674 Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) noted, as many as 149,674 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on D-7 Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijri or on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

This figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) of the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (direction to Merak), Ciawi GT (direction to Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (direction to Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (direction to Bandung).

The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 14.33 percent compared to normal traffic (130,916 vehicles). When compared to the Lebaran 2023 period, the total volume of this traffic was 16.40 percent (179,028 vehicles).

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reached 43,360 vehicles, an increase of 69.68 percent from normal traffic.

Then, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road amounting to 28,327 vehicles or an increase of 4.07 percent from normal traffic.

Thus, the total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 71,687 vehicles, an increase of 35.84 percent from normal traffic.

Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 47,256 vehicles or an increase of 1.00 percent from normal traffic.

Badminton South (Puncak)

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 30,731 vehicles or 1.99 percent lower than normal traffic.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana reminded that a tariff discount of 20 percent has been in effect since Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 05.00 WIB until tomorrow Friday, April 5, 2024 at 05.00 WIB, for the Trans Java Toll Road from Jakarta to Semarang during the period of homecoming flow.

Lisye said that the purpose of implementing this toll tariff cut is to distribute traffic which is predicted to start increasing on Friday, April 5, 2024, and avoid being concentrated at one time at the peak of the homecoming flow which is predicted to fall on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

"So, we again urge the public to travel home early to maximize tariff cuts by 20 percent," said Lisye in a written statement, Thursday, April 4.

The amount of the discount is for the continuous travel rate of homecoming from Jakarta to Semarang, valid on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 05.00 WIB to Friday, April 5, 2024 at 05.00 WIB and only for the origin of the Cikampek Utama GT to Kalikangkung GT.

Here are the details of the rates: - Class I Vehicles: Initially IDR 400,000 to IDR 320,000, - Class II and III vehicles: Initially IDR 617,500 to IDR 494,000, - Class IV and V vehicles: Initially IDR 813,500 to IDR 650,800.

According to Lisye, the 20 percent toll rate discount will later take effect in the 2024 Eid al-Fitr return period, starting Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 05.00 WIB until Friday, April 19, 2024 at 05.00 WIB.

"This tariff discount for the Trans Java Toll Road from Semarang to Jakarta, applies only to the origin of the Kalikangkung GT to the Cikampek Utama GT," he said.
