JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) pays attention to the supply and distribution of fuel oil (BBM) in tourist destinations during the Eid 2024 holiday, which can be maintained safely and smoothly.
Member of the BPH Migas Committee Wahyudi Anas in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 30, said that the availability of fuel, both subsidies and compensation for the state and other types, has always been a public concern.
This is very natural considering the vital role of fuel in everyday life, both for vehicle fuel, as well as the driving of production machines.
"One of the tasks of BPH Migas according to Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas on Earth is to regulate and determine the availability and distribution of fuel. BPH Migas always strives to secure the supply of subsidized fuel for the community according to the designation or on target," Wahyudi added during the "Synergy of BPH Migas and DPR RI" which was held in Malang, East Java, Friday, March 29.
The activity, which was also attended by Member of the BPH Migas Committee Abdul Halim and Member of Commission VII DPR RI Moreno Soeprapto, aimed at providing understanding to the Malang community regarding downstream oil and gas policy information.
"The Malang community hopes that all fuel needs can be served, considering that this area is one of the tourist destinations, both local and foreign. This is our concern to ensure that the distribution of fuel can be guaranteed and fulfilled until the holiday and after the holiday," said Wahyudi.
Based on Presidential Regulation Number 191 of 2014 concerning Provision, Distribution and Retail Selling Price of Oil Fuel, there are six categories of consumers using subsidized fuel, namely land transportation, water transportation, fishery businesses, agricultural businesses, public/governmental services, and MSMEs.
Abdul Halim said the duties and functions entrusted to BPH Migas were not easy, because it involved people's lives.
Therefore, according to him, the policy must be accompanied by supervision so that the distribution of subsidized fuel is right on target and right on target and provides a multiplier effect on economic growth in the regions.
These supervisions include using an integrated information system (IT), for example a QR code and a recommendation letter application, so that the distribution of subsidized fuel to all of the Republic of Indonesia can run safely and smoothly.
In carrying out its duties, BPH Migas also cooperates with various parties such as law enforcement officers (APH) and the DPR as well as community support is also needed in monitoring the distribution of subsidized fuel.
"BPH Migas requires cooperation with people who see firsthand how this subsidized fuel is obtained and used. Therefore, we really expect participation to participate in monitoring. If there is abuse, fraud, immediately report it to us through helpdesk 0812 3000 0136," said Halim.
Meanwhile, Moreno Soeprapto hopes that the availability and distribution of subsidized fuel during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2024 will run safely and smoothly.
"I hope that the distribution of fuel, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr, can be maintained," he said.
He also reminded that there are people who use it for personal gain.
"Around the demand for high fuel, there are people who tarnish the good name of our state company, where that person mixes Solar or Pertalite fuel with water. Hopefully this doesn't happen again, because we often monitor the field," explained Moreno. Subsidized fuel supervision
Meanwhile, the BPH Migas Committee also carried out surveillance activities at two gas stations in Malang to ensure that subsidized fuel was right on target as well as its readiness to serve consumers during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2024 periods.
During his visit at the first gas station, Halim asked gas stations to operate according to applicable regulations.

"One example is that the CCTV recording storage period must be 30 days, CCTV must highlight the vehicle police number, as well as the provisions for operators to check the similarity of data on the QR code with vehicle number," he said.
Meanwhile, while at the second gas station, Halim asked the gas station to improve the quality of the CCTV and its placement which had not yet led to the vehicle registration number.
"Indeed, there are still many improvements, but Alhamdulillah, gas station supervisors are willing to improve their quality. We ask for improved service quality because it will have an impact on public trust," he said.
