Production Of 415,000 BOPD, PHE Contributes 68 Percent Of National Oil Production

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) recorded the realization of oil lifting of 415,000 barrels per day (BOPD) throughout 2023.

PHE President Director Chalid Said Salim revealed, with this achievement PHE is still the backbone of national oil production.

"PHE is the backbone of national oil production, the realization is 415,000 BOPD or 68 percent of total national oil production," said Chalid at the Hearing Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI, Wednesday, March 27.

Chalid continued, for gas production, throughout 2023, 2.38 BCFD was recorded or 33 percent of national gas production.

This achievement, he said, could not be separated from a number of drilling activities, massive work (workover) and well service maintenance carried out throughout 2023.

Specifically for drilling, Chalid detailed that PHE had carried out these activities at 799 wells with details of 776 development wells and 17 exploration wells.

"Compared to 2022, this will add 16 percent," continued Chalid.

Then for work-over activities, PHE conducts as many as 835 work activities throughout 2023 or an increase of about 31 percent compared to the work carried out in 2022.

Then for well care, it was recorded that there was an 11 percent increase from 2022 or 32,589 jobs were carried out.
