Realization Of State Expenditures Until March 15, 2024 Reaches IDR 470.3 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance reported that the realization of state spending until March 15, 2024, had reached Rp470.3 trillion or reached 14.1 percent of the target.

This number also experienced 18.1 percent growth from the same period last year.

"For state expenditures to reach Rp470.3 trillion, this means that 14.1 percent of the ceiling has been spent and this has grown quite high, namely 18.1 percent yoy, January and February to mid-March," said Finance Minister Sri Mulyani in a press conference. Our State Budget, Monday 25 March 2024.

Sri Mulyani conveyed that the realization of state spending consists of two components, including central government spending and transfers to the regions.

"The majority of the country's spending is realized by central government spending," he said.

Sri Mulyani conveyed that the realization of central government spending reached IDR 328.9 trillion or 13.3 percent of the ceiling. This figure also increased 17 percent from the same period last year.

Meanwhile, this central government expenditure consists of Ministry/Institutional expenditures (K/L) whose realization reaches IDR 165.4 trillion or 15.2 percent of the target.

Sri Mulyani conveyed that the distribution of this expenditure was used for the distribution of social assistance and the implementation of elections.

Then the realization of non-K/L expenditure reached Rp163.4 trillion, or 11.9 percent of the ceiling.

This realization is influenced by the realization of energy subsidies and the payment of pension benefits.

"If we look at it, it can be seen that in 2024 for the first 2.5 months until March 15, the realization of our spending is higher than last year, namely the growth of 17 percent, which last year was also high at 10 percent," he explained.

Furthermore, the realization of transfers to regions (TKD) reached IDR 141.4 trillion or grew 20.5 percent from the same period last year.

"Transfers to this area are almost a third of central government spending. Through the APBD we assist local governments in carrying out their duties and functions," he said.

In the 2024 State Budget, Sri Mulyani conveyed that the state expenditure plan was IDR 3,325.1 trillion, consisting of K/L expenditures of IDR 1,090.8 trillion, non-K/L expenditures of IDR 1,376.7 trillion, and Transfers to Regions (TKD) of IDR 857.6 trillion.
