Promise To Handle The Holed Toll Road, Jasa Marga: If There Is, We Will Immediately Close It

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk will continue to monitor the feasibility of toll roads during the 2024 Lebaran homecoming flow. Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said that repairing potholes is indeed the main concern of Jasa Marga in providing services to motorists.

"There is a patching team that we are on standby continuously to monitor if there are points or holes," he said at a press conference at Jasa Marga Headquarters, Jakarta, quoted Friday, March 22.

Even so, Lisye said that during D-10 to D+10 Lebaran 2024, all construction work that could potentially disrupt traffic would be stopped. However, he said, monitoring and handling of potholes will still be carried out if it is urgent.

Because, said Lisye, the current extreme weather has the potential to cause a track on a porous or damaged toll road. Moreover, due to the high volume of vehicles passing during homecoming and Lebaran backflow.

Therefore, he stated that his party is committed to conducting regular monitoring and carrying out toll road maintenance services or preservation. "If there is a hole or puddle, it will be immediately closed," he said.

To carry out toll road maintenance during the Lebaran homecoming, Jasa Marga has formed 53 landslide and inundation handling teams. Lisye added that her party had prepared materials for road repairs, which was 8,801 sacks of coldmix material.

In addition to monitoring and maintenance of potholes, Jasa Marga has prepared a total of 181 tow vehicles from the previous 140 units. A total of 23,239 rubber cones have also been prepared to improve traffic operational services.

"Meanwhile, to improve services at toll gates, Jasa Marga added 651 traffic assistance officers and traffic direction personnel as well as the addition of 62 mobile reader units to 536 units," he said.
