Jasa Marga Predicts Peak Lebaran Homecoming Flow To Occur April 6, 2024

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk predicts that the peak of the Eid homecoming flow will occur on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

At least 259,087 vehicles will leave Jabotabek.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said the figure increased by 66.8 percent compared to normal traffic.

"Meanwhile, it is predicted that the peak of backflow will fall on D+5 or Monday, April 15, 2024, with traffic reaching 300,000 vehicles at four main toll gates, up to 131 percent compared to normal traffic," Lisye said at a press conference at his office, Thursday, March 21.

Lisye said that his party also predicts that the number of vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area during the period of the H-7 homecoming flow to D+2 of Eid Al-Fitr 1445 H (April 3 - April 11, 2024) is 1.86 million vehicles, an increase of up to 54.13 percent to normal traffic and an increase of 5.94 percent from the Eid 2023 period.

Meanwhile, the prediction of the number of vehicles entering the Jabotabek area in the backflow period of H-1 to D+7 Eid al-Fitr 1445 H (period 10 April-18 April 2024) is 1.92 million vehicles, an increase of up to 60.55 percent to the normal period and an increase of 4.19 percent from the Eid period 2023.

The distribution of traffic entering the Jabotabek area in that period was the majority from the East (Trans Java and Bandung) direction of 56.5 percent, from the West (Merak) by 23.6 percent and from the South (Puncak) by 19.9 percent.

"The number of predictions is the cumulative number of traffic flow from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction to Trans Java and Bandung), GT Ciawi (direction to Puncak) and GT Cikupa (direction to Merak).

"With the high vehicle surge to and from the Trans Java and Bandung Toll Roads, the location that is the focus of attention is to be anticipated by road users, namely at KM 66 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road which is a vehicle meeting to/from Bandung and Cikampek to/from Jakarta," said Lisye.
