Kadin: Conducive Settlement Of 2024 Election Disputes Able To Maintain The Industrial Climate

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) hopes that the process of resolving general election disputes (elections) after the election of the presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka can take place in a conducive manner to maintain the industrial climate.

"As long as the process is conducive, our industrial climate will remain productive and grow positively," said Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sarman Simanjorang, quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 21.

According to Sarman, it is a shared task to maintain the comfort and stability of the nation after the official determination of the KPU regarding the results of the 2024 General Election.

According to Sarman, in Ramadan and before Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri, economic transactions in various sectors are increasing and productive.

Therefore, he hopes that the parties who will undergo the process related to election disputes will resolve the dispute through the existing law enforcement agency, namely the Constitutional Court.

"In a situation like this, people need comfort in shopping. It is our duty together to maintain comfort and conduciveness after the announcement of the results of the 2024 General Election," he said.

Previously, the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia appointed the pair of Candidates for President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029.

The determination is contained in KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 concerning the Determination of the General Election Results of the President and Vice President, Members of the House of Representatives, Regional Representative Council, Provincial Regional House of Representatives, and National Regional House of Representatives/City in the General Election in 2024.

"The results of the national General Election as referred to in the First Dictum to the Fifth Dictum are set on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 22.18.19 minutes WIB," said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari at the Indonesian KPU Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20.

Hasyim revealed that the Prabowo-Gibran pair won 96,214,691 votes. Meanwhile, he continued, the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair received 40,971,906 votes, while the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md pair got 27,040,878 votes.

The total valid ballots, according to him, amounted to 164,227,475 votes.
