Watch Out! KAI Notes That 1.6 Million Train Tickets For The Eid Period Have Been Sold

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that sales of medium and long-distance train tickets for the Eid al-Fitr 2024 period had sold more than 1.6 million or 48 percent of the total seats provided.

The period for transporting the Lebaran 2024 train was set by KAI, starting from D-10 or March 31 to D+10 or April 21, 2024.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus said that KAI provided 3,320,239 seats for the Eid 2024 period.

"Middle or long-distance train tickets sold 1,603,463 from seats provided 3,320,239. The occupancy is 48 percent," said Joni in an official statement, Wednesday, March 20.

Joni said the number of train tickets sold is still possible to increase considering ticket sales are still being made.

"The number of tickets sold will continue to increase because sales are still ongoing," he said.

Based on KAI data monitoring as of today, the highest ticket sales are on April 14, 2024 or D+3, namely 106,314 tickets and April 13, 2024 or D+2, namely 105,297 tickets.
