Submitting PMN BUMN Until 2025, Erick Thohir Admits He Doesn't Want His Successor To Be Confused

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir admitted that he did not want his replacement at the Ministry of SOEs to be confused regarding the direction of the running of state-owned companies going forward.

Especially, continued Erick, about the amount of dividends deposited into the state treasury and State Equity Participation (PMN) to SOEs. For this reason, Erick also proposed PMN for 16 SOEs of IDR 44.2 trillion in 2025.

"For next year I will prepare whoever the minister is, at least I have a note for the next PMN and the next dividend," said Erick after a Working Meeting with Commission VI of the DPR RI, at the DPR Building, Jakarta, written Wednesday, March 20.

Erick said this decision was taken in view of his personal experience. He admitted that he was confused when he first served as Minister of SOEs in the cabinet of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for the 2019-2024 period.

"Like when I took office for the first time, I was confused about 'oh, how much is PMN, how much is the dividend', I don't know. So at least whoever the minister is, he has a record today 'oh PMN so much, dividend so much'," he said.

For your information, from 2020 to the 2024 projection, dividends paid by SOEs reached IDR 279.7 trillion, including projected dividends in 2024 of IDR 85.5 trillion.

Meanwhile, cash PMN in the same period was recorded at IDR 226.1 trillion, including the 2024 proposal figure of IDR 41.8 trillion.

Furthermore, Erick admitted that he would extend the data between dividends and PMN until 2029. He said, it would become capital flow data and deposits on the results of BUMN performance.

"We will also extend the stimulation of dividends and PMN we will continue to withdraw until 2028, 2029 if necessary, currently there are predictions. Anyone who enters will not really blank, but can write down what we are doing right now," he said.
