JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Dirjen Minerba) revealed that it has approved the mineral Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) for 2024-2025.
Acting Director General of Mineral and Coal, Bambang Suswantono, said that his party had evaluated 731 RKAB that went to the Director General of Mineral and Coal (Ditjen Minerba) and the results were currently 201 applications with 191 destinations and 10 applications were rejected.
"Until now, there are still 530 applications that are still given the opportunity to make improvements in accordance with essential aspects," said Bambang in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI, Tuesday, March 19.
Bambang detailed that there were 191 companies that had been approved with commodity details, including nickel with a total of 107 business entities, followed by bauxite by 19 companies, tin 12 companies, copper 2 companies, gold and silver 19 companies, iron concentrate 23 companies and Garena ore as many as 1 company.
Then based on its production capacity, nickel commodities are allowed to produce 152,619,780.56 (152.6 million tons), bauxite 15.8 million tons, lead 44.4 million tons, copper 2 million tons, gold 20,711 kg, silver commodity 122,508 kg, iron concentrate 6.4 million, ore galena 0.24 million tons.
Previously, on the same occasion, Bambang also said that ESDM had approved 587 RKAB for coal.
Bambang said the amount of tonnage from the RKAB of coal approved in 2024 was 922.14 million tons, 2025 was 917.16 million tons, and 2026 was 902.97 million tons.
