Member Of Commission VI Of The House Of Representatives Appreciates The Achievement Of SOE Dividend Targets

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VI DPR RI Deddy Sitorus appreciated the performance of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir who succeeded in achieving the dividend target, even though the COVID-19 pandemic had hit.

"We have to appreciate that after going through the pandemic, it turned out that it could be achieved, dividends last year," said Deddy Sitorus during a working meeting with Commission VI of the DPR at the DPR Building, quoted from Antara, in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 19.

He considered it natural for SOEs to still pursue the number targeted five years ago because the majority of the time from the Ministry of SOEs' five years of service was passed during the crisis era due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We know and understand that global situations are not easy," he said.

Deddy also hopes that the good structure in SOEs will be maintained

"Don't be like that, SOEs that are getting better will return to zero," he said.

In line with Deddy, member of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Darmadi Durianto, also expressed his appreciation for the achievement of profits and dividends that were successfully achieved by SOEs.

"I appreciate the achievement of profit and dividends," said Darmadi.

Darmadi also expressed hope that professional SOEs would be maintained.

"So far, there have been concerns that SOEs have become 'banked', but in Pak Erick's era this was good. But that concern can reappear because it requires SOPs (standard operating procedures) and a mechanism so that the current good SOEs can be maintained," said Darmadi.
