The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) revealed the importance of collaboration with academics to realize smart, green, and sustainable development (Smart, Green, and Sustainable) at IKN.

"The preparation of the Level of Service (LoS) which also involves academics from Atma Jaya University and Gadjah Mada University has become a living document or growing document used as a reference for IKN development until 2045," said IKN Urban Management Expert Desiderius Viby Indrayana in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 18.

Viby emphasized the importance of collaboration with academics to realize smart, Green, and Sustainable development.

In an effort to improve the quality of life of the community through the determination of service quality standards as well as measurements and evaluations of LoS, OIKN and the Alumni Family of Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta (Kamajaya) have successfully held a National Seminar and Socialization LoS for Building and Area Management.

The activity which took place at Atma Jaya Campus II University in the Special Region of Yogyakarta was held under the coordination of the Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of the IKN Authority, the Directorate of Building, Region and Urban Management. This activity was also attended by the Director General of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Iwan Suprijanto.

The Director General of Housing at the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprajipto, said that the standardization for the building concept must be prepared and used as guidelines for development and management, especially since the IKN concept is different from other cities.

"So we have the task of regulating the use and management. If the implementation goes well, of course the benefits will be felt by everyone; one of them is by extending the age of the building's proper period to optimal and even more optimal times so that it is able to create a city that is comfortable and delicious for all," said Iwan.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Ar event committee. Blasius Lukkie Putranto hopes that there will be significant improvements in urban infrastructure management and services.

"Moreover, this is in line with the government's commitment to building sustainable and highly competitive IKN. Support from various parties, such as government authorities, non-governmental organizations, academics, and industry players, emphasizes the importance of collaboration to reach consensus in setting the desired service quality standards," he said.
